We Can Play Outside.....Really!

What a beautiful day we had on Sunday! There was no snow on the ground & it was not warm enough not to need a coat.
We all enjoyed some much needed time outdoors.
Charlie played in the sandbox.
Rosty played on the sliding board.
Lee & Freckles played with the rocket launchers. They got these for Christmas and they are really fun to play with......
Freckles & Mel also enjoyed a game of Frisbee. They both love to have the Frisbee thrown but Freckles will bring it back Mel doesn't know that trick yet!

Here is Freckles bringing back the Frisbee for another throw.

Weather Recap

These past 2 weeks have been crazy here weather-wise.

On Monday, January 25, we had 3.7 inches of rain. Although, some people had up to 4 inches. The schools were closed due to flooding throughout the county. We had 15 roads flooded throughout the county not to mention a major interchange on the Interstate.

On Friday, January 30, it started snowing and we had a total of 6-inches of snow. This crippled our county. School was out Monday thru Wednesday with a 2-hour delay on Thursday.

Today is February 5 and school was on a 3-hour delay. It started raining last night and it has not stopped yet.
Here are a few pictures from our yard.
This is suppose to be our driveway but I think I'll call it Menius Pond. Behind the driveway that patch is snow but after all the rain today I'm sure it will be melted.

This is the other side of the driveway.
That is mud & huge mud puddles.

This is our ditch in the front yard.

We hope that it is going to dry out soon!

Snow Day!!

The weatherman said we would get snow & he was right!!! It started snowing on Friday evening & when we woke up on Saturday we had 6-inches of snow!!

Rosty couldn't wait to get outside & play in the snow. Here he is at the top of the swing set.

He had to be the first one down the sliding board so he could knock off the snow.

Here he is making a Snow Angel.
Where was Charlie during all this fun????
I had decided to make homemade chocolate chip cookies & hot chocolate for the boys when Charlie heard cookies he decided he would stay inside until they were done!
Charlie decided to come out & play in the snow.
Not the best snow for making a snowman, so we made a snow blob.
Spider man, I mean Charlie.

The boys love to go sledding. At their young age they have been sledding more than I ever have in my whole life. So, I had actually never been sledding until last year (remember I grew up near the coast we did not get a lot of snow). Anyway, here they are at the farm on their sled. Lee made a track in the pasture & I pulled them behind the Gator. Rosty is eating a big chunk of snow.........
